5 WAYS TO BE HAPPY AND MINDFUL THROUGHOUT THE DAY
We are continually thinking of reaching that one goal, that one vacation, that one skill until we find happiness! Did you know, only 10 percent of our happiness depends on things like education, income, health. You can learn to put yourself in a calm mental state every morning by doing simple things and then go about your day from that state of mind.
1. Stop the Snooze and Get up.
It’s become a culture now – one that we need to change. Did you know hitting the snooze button makes it tougher to get up and out of bed? Reason enough to stop hitting the snooze button and wake up!
Studies how changing breathing pattern not only increases energy levels but also strengthens the immune system and improves mental concentration. Breath easy, breath good!
3. Good Stretch is always a good idea.
When you wake up every morning, stretch your body. It increases flexibility in motion in muscles and joints. Happy feel, right?
4. Music increases happiness.
It strengthens learning and memory and so, is good for the mind. We all have our favorite song or genre. Turn up some zen music while taking a shower or on your way to work!
5. Help someone.
It’ll make you feel like you can take on the world. This act has the ability to make you feel rewarded but is often overlooked! Helping helps, trust us – it boosts your self-esteem and also strengthens relations. The gesture could be as small as making a cup of tea for your partner or picking up a colleague on your way to work. Try and cheer someone else next time you want to feel high on happiness!
